As Young Executive Operations you are responsible for the successful execution of various projects in production and logistics environments. The focus will be on the process side, to devise and implement efficiency measures, and on the people side to realize a continuous improvement culture by paying real attention to people (i.e. empathizing with others, showing understanding, listening and leading by example at individual, team and management level).
In this role you will work in teams or independently on assignments with our clients in production and logistics environments (e.g. manufacturing, food, transportation, retail, construction and maritime). Depending on the assignment, the ratio of advising, managing and implementing will vary. Each assignment is customized, but we have defined four areas of work: project management, process management, interim management and consulting. The environment is often hectic, and as a Young Executive Operations, you will need to quickly familiarize yourself with new subject matter to solve management bottlenecks and strengthen the organization. You enter the client’s office, research, analyze, recognize the problem and advise the client on a solution. Then you start implementing changes. Creating support and having a feel for relationships and the environment is essential.
Your development is central to us and therefore we offer an extensive 3-year management development program with various training courses and modules that ensure that you are given what you need to develop yourself and perform at the client. In addition, you will be supported by a coach and by the management of Young Executive Management. You can also fall back on knowledge and skills elsewhere in the organization, and you will be part of the Operations Solution with experienced (Senior) Managers, Directors and seasoned CEOs and COOs. You will also have intervision meetings to improve you on a substantive and personal level. The assignments vary in length – from a few months, to sometimes up to a year – and are usually carried out on a full-time basis at the client. Often it is an individual assignment, sometimes in a team with another Young Executive, (Senior) Manager, Director or in collaboration with an interim manager from Boer & Croon.
