Job Description

Are you skilled in negotiation and do you enjoy taking responsibility for results? As a Purchasing Planner, you are part of a team responsible for the procurement and planning of a large number of product groups. Given the constant challenges within procurement, we are looking for a flexible and decisive personality who takes ownership to achieve results. Your tasks include:

  • Maintain contact with external suppliers and internal customers.
  • Collaborate with the Commodity Manager to ensure a thorough supplier selection, conducting negotiations when necessary.
  • Procure necessary products under the most favorable conditions in terms of quality, price, and delivery reliability.
  • Actively involve suppliers in new developments.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to quickly respond to new developments.
  • Take responsibility with potential growth opportunities to the role of Commodity Manager.

Your Profile:

  • Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a commercial field, automotive engineering, technical business administration, or a related field.
  • Aspire to grow into the role of Commodity Manager.
  • Experience in purchasing goods and/or services is a plus, which may include experience gained through internships or part-time jobs.
  • Possession of NEVI 1 and NEVI 2 diplomas is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (in English), representative, and a skilled negotiator.

Department:

  • Purchasing department comprises over 100 employees responsible for procuring all goods and services for DAF Trucks.
  • The Purchasing department operates in an international, challenging, and inspiring environment.
  • Properly managing relationships with suppliers is essential for DAF’s ongoing success as a truck manufacturer.
