WO: Data Science Internship – AI Job scheduling

Are you interested in combining operations management with AI? Do you possess an interest in complex scheduling problems? We are looking for you!

Your assignment
At our Latex ink production site, over 30 different inks and liquids are produced. The order in which these products are produced impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of our operation. With an increasing product portfolio and equipment park, creating an optimal production schedule for our products and their subprocesses becomes increasingly challenging.

We are interested in exploring the domain of ML/AI to address this challenge in an efficient manner. Your task will be to propose and potentially implement a method that schedules production orders and subprocesses according to an optimum.

Your profile

We are looking for an intern or graduate available for a period of approximately 6 months. You are someone that thrives in a high-tech environment and has an interest in production facilities. In addition;

• You are currently studying Mathematics, Operations management/research, data science or related study with industrial interface.
• You think it’s a challenge to delve into high-tech production environments
• You are able to communicate with stakeholders from a diverse set of backgrounds
• Programming skills (e.g. Python) are required
• You are available for a period of 4-6 consecutive months, minimum 4 days per week (Hybrid)
